When does the retreat officially begin? End?
The retreat officially kicks off with dinner at 5:30 pm on Thursday, October 3rd, but our staff will be onsite for registration beginning at 2:00 pm. The final session will conclude by 12:00 noon Saturday, October 5th, followed by lunch. Optional area excursions will be available that afternoon and evening.
How do I register for the event?
First, please make a reservation for the event by contacting your Ministry Representative. And then, your reservation at the Marriott Champions Circle will confirm your spot at the retreat. For more information, please contact us at 817-267-4211, ext. 3852.
How much does the retreat cost?
There is no charge for the retreat itself. However, you will be responsible for your own travel arrangements (flights and/or other transportation), lodging, and any other outside activities.
What meals will be provided?
During the retreat, we will provide dinner on Thursday night, lunch and dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday. A warm buffet breakfast will be available for purchase at the hotel’s restaurant.
What do I need to do if I have certain dietary restrictions?
Please contact us at ministry.relations@loi.org to let us know about any dietary restrictions you might have.
Do I have to stay at the Marriott Champions Circle to be part of the retreat?
Though not required, we highly encourage you to do so. It is a marvelous facility provided at an exceptional rate and will be the easiest for convenience throughout the retreat. If you choose to stay elsewhere, please make sure you have communicated that with a ministry representative so that we can confirm your spot at meals and the teaching sessions.
Which airport should I fly into?
The closest major airport to this event is the DFW Int’l Airport. LIFE will provide free transportation to and from DFW as needed. Dallas Love Field (DAL) is approximately 45 miles away, and no transportation will be provided to or from it. We do not recommend it for this event, unless of course you are a die hard Southwest Airlines fan.
Can I arrive early or stay later?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to take extra time if you can to enjoy the many wonderful things available in the DFW area. If you book your stay prior to September 19th, the hotel has offered to extend our special room rate up to 3 days prior and 3 days following our retreat. Contact the hotel directly for availability and details.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Please contact your Ministry Representative as soon as you think you might need to cancel in order to allow us to include others who might have been placed on a waiting list. Also, don’t forget to cancel your reservation with the hotel.
What is the guest room rate at the Marriott Champions Circle?
As rooms are still available within our block, a king or double guest room is $119 per night.

Do I need to provide my own transportation to and from the airport?
LIFE Outreach staff will provide transportation to and from the airport and hotel. Please let us know your flight information in advance so that we can plan accordingly. You are also welcome to rent a vehicle or hire a cab/Uber/Lyft at the airport if would prefer more flexibility in your schedule. The hotel does not provide transportation.
Will transportation be provided to area activities?
Yes, based on those who have expressed interest, we are going to provide a shuttle bus to the 4:00 pm service at Gateway Church on Saturday. We will also provide transportation for a limited number to the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas immediately following lunch on Saturday. Both groups will have the option of meeting afterward for dinner and shopping at Southlake Town Square. Please let us know if you would like to be included in either of those excursions.
Who is invited to this retreat?
James and Betty have invited a limited number of close friends and partners of LIFE Outreach International.
May I bring a guest with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a guest with you. When you speak with your ministry representative about the event, please be sure to provide their name.
What is the purpose of this retreat?
The main purpose of this retreat is for James and Betty to express their appreciation in person to those who are most connected to LIFE Outreach International. Through James’ dynamic teaching style, he wants to encourage and inspire retreat guests to find and fulfill God’s Kingdom purpose for their lives.

What if I am unable to attend the entire retreat?
We understand that not everyone’s schedules will permit them to attend the entire retreat, but we hope that you will still join us even if you can only attend a portion. Please let your Ministry Representative know your schedule so that we can properly plan for meals and such.
Who will the guest speakers be?
Joining us will be our good friends and partners in ministry: Sheila Walsh and David Barton. Sheila is the co-host of LIFE Today and always brings an inspiring word from God. David is a dynamic speaker and the founder of WallBuilders, an organization dedicated to spreading the truth of God’s work in establishing this wonderful country of ours.
Will I be able to spend time with James and Betty?
In keeping attendance for this event limited, we hope that there will be multiple opportunities for you to interact with them throughout the retreat. If you would like to sit with James and Betty during one of our meals together, please express your interest to your Ministry Representative.
